Tiri has a strong community focus, supporting organisations as chairperson including the Waitara Taiohi Trust, Waitara Food Bank Pataka Kai, He Rau Oranga Trust-Waitara Night Markets as well as North Taranaki Sport and Recreation Incorporated (NTSRINC). Tiri is a member of Manukorihi Hapū and has been appointed by Manukorihi and Otaraua Hapū to fulfil the tangata whenua position on the NTRSINC Board, endorsed by Te Kotahitanga o Te Ātiawa. Daryl worked in the education sector for 20+ years primarily as a Physical Education teacher. He is now currently the Principal at Waitara High School. Daryl understands and promotes the importance of an active lifestyle to personal and community well-being. His professional life aligns easily with the vision of NTSRINC which is to realise potential and pursue our best.

Gaylene Findlay joined the board as an independent member of North Taranaki Sports and Recreation Inc in 2017 at the end of the project phase. Born and bred in Waitara, she is passionate about contributing to the local community and ensuring a sustainable future for the facility. Gaylene oversees the organisation’s finances, and is passionate about creating a space where both whānau and our younger generations can thrive and excel together.

Daryn Nevin has been a dedicated board member of North Taranaki Sport & Recreation Inc. since 2020. As the Chairman of Waitara Rugby League and a former New Zealand Māori Rugby League representative, Daryn brings a wealth of leadership and sporting experience to the organisation. He is deeply passionate about the Waitara community, fostering rugby league talent, and promoting opportunities for local youth. Outside of his contributions to sport, Daryn enjoys the freedom of riding his Harley and exploring the open road.

Steven has a passion for working with people and helping out wherever there is a need. He currently coaches junior rugby for Clifton Rugby Club and cricket for Taranaki Cricket. Steven also belongs to the committee of Gymnastics Waitara.
